Ski Insurance with Medical Conditions

If you have an existing medical condition that you would like to have covered on your Best ski insurance policy, you will need to let us know what that condition is. There may be an additional premium for your condition.

Our travel insurance with medical conditions works on the following basis -

• Each person named on the policy must be healthy, fit to travel and able to undertake the planned trip.

• You will not be covered if you travel against a doctor’s advice or failed to seek advice before beginning your trip.

• You will not be covered if, before you travel, you know you will need medical treatment or consultation during your trip.

• You will not be covered if you had any undiagnosed symptoms for which you were awaiting investigations or consultations or the results of investigations and where the underlying cause had not been established.

• You will not be covered if you are travelling specifically for the purpose of obtaining and / or receiving any elective surgery, procedure or hospital treatment.

If you are unsure about whether you have a pre existing medical condition or not please read the following and declare any existing medical conditions to us.

If you answer "Yes" to A, B or C you should go through our medical screening process -

A - have been prescribed any medication, received any treatment or had a consultation with a doctor or hospital specialist in the past 12 months for any medical condition.

B - have ever been diagnosed with or treated for any of the following, before you bought your policy:

• any cardiovascular problems for example - heart attack, angina, chest pain or palpitations.

• any other heart condition.

• hypertension (raised blood pressure).

• blood clots.

• raised cholesterol.

• any cerebrovascular problems for example stroke, transient ischaemic attack (TIA) or brain haemorrhage.

C - are awaiting treatment for any medical condition or the results of any medical tests or investigations. If ALL the above questions are answered NO then no screening is needed; please proceed with your travel insurance booking.

Please note -

You should contact us if you develop a medical condition after your policy was issued or if your existing medical condition changes after your policy was issued.

If you purchase an Annual Multi Trip policy you should let us know of any change to your health or medical status before your next trip start date.

If we are unable to cover the medical condition(s), this will mean that you and any other person insured by us will not be covered for any directly or indirectly related claims arising from the medical condition(s). This may even apply if the person with the medical condition(s) purchases cover from another provider.

Each person insured by us would still be covered for any unrelated medical condition(s) and other sections of cover subject to the terms and conditions of this policy.
