Burserberg is a small quiet resort 5kms from its better known nieghbour Brand. Other than a cross country trail they are not linked except by road. A regular bus service operates between the two. Although there are just a total of five lifts there a reasonable ski area which is best suited to beginners and intermediates who are not looking to extend themselves. Like Brand it is a good, friendly centre ideal for families who want to ski together.
The backbone of the lift system is a chair followed by two consecutive drag lifts which reach 1800m. Most of the upper runs are pretty gentle — wide wood lined glades — and follow a valley down the west side of the upper lift. Thereafter there are two runs, which are also pretty straightforward, down to the lowest base station level. The skiing is best seen as a day’s supplement to Brand.
The village is small, quiet and traditional with the main apres ski facilities really in the local hotels, or in Brand.
